Our Senior Partner, Marcus Marino, RA, AIA was inspired to enter the practice of Architecture by the work of Frank Lloyd Wright as well as I. M. Pei. Prior to entering the field of Architecture he designed lighting, special effects and scenery for Off-Broadway theatrical productions. The best known production he worked on One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, was later turned into a motion picture starring Jack Nickolson.

Educated at two of the best Architecture schools in the United States he received a Bachelors of Architecture at Pratt Institute and then a Masters of Science of Architecture and Urban Design at Columbia University in New York City where he later established his practice of Architecture.

He believes Architects bring a unique point of view to every design question whether technical or artistic in nature. He is known for speaking of Architecture as the focal point of the human experience saying "we design environments for people to live, work and play in." He stresses at each speaking engagement the importance of an Architect's work by closing his speeches with,  "These built environments must work in conjunction with the natural environment without causing harm, and permitting humans to become more in touch with the nature of the earth we all share."

Understanding that Architecture has the ability to encourage human behavior, he believes that all design should enlighten, inspire and lift the human spirit. While accomplishing this, a design can guide the people in that built environment to act in a way which benefits the client and the intended objective of that structure.

Marcus Marino and his firm have won awards in the areas of Interior Design, Exterior Design, Natural Beauty Design and Overall Design, as well as ADA compliance .  His work has been exhibited and published in Facility Magazine, Facilities Design and Management Magazine, Newhouse Publications, Spring Showcase of Homes , Your Home, Community Infrastructure Exhibit, World Futurist Convention and the Urban Design Showcase.
